Athens – Delphi – Delos – Mykonos
DAY 1: Welcome to Athens (3 nights)
Arrival in Athens capital of Greece and start your journey for a life-changing experience. Meet and assist at the airport and transfer to the centre of the city. On route to your hotel you will have a first glance of the ancient treasures and Christian history of Athens.
DAY 2: Athens sightseeing
Begin the day at the Acropolis, which overlooks the city. See the majestic Parthenon, one of the most important ancient monuments in the Western world. Then, visit the museum at the foot of the Acropolis. Housing over 4,000 articles in natural light, its top floor contains a storied, 15-block frieze depicting human figures, deities and animals, mainly horses. After taking in views of the Parthenon itself, stroll through the city’s ancient, picturesque Plaka district.
DAY 3: Athens – Delphi tour
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive through Thebes to Delphi. Tread in the footsteps of the ancient Greeks, who would descend on the sanctuary of Delphi to consult with the most important oracle in the classical world. Join your Local Specialist and walk the Sacred Way to the 4th-century Temple of Apollo. View the statues immortalizing the strength of the athletes who once competed in the Pythian Games, held in honour of Apollo and the Arts. Return in Athens in the early evening.
DAY 4: Mykonos (4 nights)
Breakfast and transfer to the Athens airport and board your flight to Mykonos. Upon arrival, you are met and privately transferred to your hotel in Mykonos, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
DAY 5: MYKONOS – DELOS SACRED ISLAND
This morning, join your guide for a public cruise to the island of Delos. Now uninhabited, the sacred island features prominently in Greek mythology as the birthplace of Artemis and Apollo. Learn the captivating history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site as you tour the archaeological ruins of its former port.
DAY 6: MYKONOS
Today catch all of Mykonos’ highlights with a private half-day tour that will show you around the best attractions and hidden spots of the island! Along with your local guide, begin your tour by walking through the labyrinth of the old town, the narrow and cobbled alleys. See the port, the whitewashed churches, and the famous windmills. Move on to the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera where you have some free time to wander around. Your next stop is Kalafatis beach for some relaxation and we’ve saved the best for last: an elevated spot so you can capture the outstanding view of the town, the Aegean Sea, and the neighboring islands!
DAY 7: MYKONOS
Spend your day relaxing on its beautiful beaches, sip champagne in the picturesque Little Venice waterside, or visit some of its historical treasures, including the 17th-century Church of the Paraportiani. Indulge in local seafood flavours, enjoy a leisurely swim in the calm waters of the Aegean.
DAY 8: MYKONOS – DEPART FOR ATHENS AND US
Early breakfast at hotel and meet your driver for your transfer to Mykonos airport, for your departure flight to Athens.
