Naxos Essential Tour
Melanes – Apiranthos village – Halki – Plaka beach
We start our tour in the inner villages of Naxos. Our first stop is Melanes village, where you will admire the 6 meters Kouros statue, which has been broken during the process of sliding downhill in order this to be shipped to Delos. Then we drive to Keramoti, where a magnificent crossroad allows a photo shooting of East and West coasts. Our tour brings us to Apiranthos village with its marble paved alleys.
Next stop is the village of Halki, with its mansions, the Byzantine church of Panagia Protothroni and the citrus distillery. Free time to taste the local products and sweets. Next, we drive to the renovated Bazeos tower which was built on 16th century and used as a monastery. Nowadays is privately owned.
We return back following the fascinating western coast of Naxos and visit Plaka or Mikri Vigla beaches. Free time for swimming or sunbathing or relaxing in one of the beach bars, before return back to your hotel.
